Summary | Foundation English for Academic Purposes (FEAP) 3 will focus on prepararing you for the four modules of IELTS (reading, listening, speaking and writing). The eight sessions will provide you with practice in test format and content, followed by analysis of answers (listening and reading modules) and feedback on performance (speaking and writing).
This course is for CAHSS International Foundation Programme students only. It is not available to undergraduate or postgraduate students. |
Course description |
Foundation English for Academic Purposes (FEAP) 3 will focus on prepararing you for the four modules of IELTS (reading, listening, speaking and writing). The course will provide you with practice in test format and content, including analysis of answers (listening and reading modules) and feedback on performance (speaking and writing).
The teacher will be responsive to your particular needs as a group, providing more practice in the areas you (and your teacher) feel you need the most practice in.

Additional Information (Assessment) |
On completion of the course, students will sit their IELTS test. This cannot be done at the University of Edinburgh and must be booked at a registered IELTS testing centre. It is the students' responsibility to check that they have booked a test in good time in order for their results to be processed by University of Edinburgh Admissions. |
Feedback |
Students will be given feedback on all test components they practice in the IELTS class. As many of the IELTS practice tests will be set for homework, classes will focus on the giving of feedback. |
