Summary | This course aims to develop skills and knowledge in the management of complex physical, mental and social problems in a systematic, holistic and problem-oriented way. The teaching will build on and incorporate knowledge of principles and practice of family medicine, evidence based medicine, critical thinking and reflection taught in the first year of the programme. |

This course encourages students to apply critical thinking and analysis of current research to develop responses to complex scenarios commonly encountered in family practice.

Students will be given formative feedback throughout the course on the discussion boards. Feedback on summative assessments will be topic-specific but also cover generic skills, such as academic writing, critical thinking, which will be useful for future courses. |
