Summary | This course aims to ensure that the candidate is able to assess, understand and manage surgical emergencies and children with traumatic injuries.
This course also aims to ensure that the candidate is understands the principles and practice of anaesthesia, and ventilation. This programme should ensure that practitioners are able to use procedural sedation, and local/regional anaesthesia safely

Learning Outcomes
At the completion of the course the student should be able to diagnose, assess and manage paediatric surgical emergencies, and traumatic injuries. The student should have an understanding the relevant anatomy and pathophysiology involved.
