Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- As a scholar and scientist, on completion of SSC1, the successful student will be able to take a scholarly and scientific approach to setting and addressing questions for a group project, to achieve evidence-informed understanding of a medically-related topic.
- As a practitioner, on completion of SSC1, the successful student will be able to communicate using research tools such as questionnaires, demonstrate understanding of the relevant clinical focus of the project and use online databases, library resources and computers to seek out current information, analyse data and create and share new information.
- As a professional, on completion of SSC1, the successful student will be able to plan and take a reflective approach to personal learning and contributions to a similar project guided by the tutor and the intended learning outcomes and demonstrate understanding of the core ethical, professional and legal responsibilities expected of medical students and doctors, work successfully with a project group, and attend to personal health, wellbeing and professional development.
