Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Critically analyse the current methodologies used to express and purify proteins of biotechnological significance in recombinant systems
- Critically evaluate the use of different recombinant systems and purification mechanisms
- Describe, critique and perform techniques that are commonly used to express proteins in E.coli
- Critically analyse results from experimental data and write an accurate laboratory report using these results
