Due to the nature of the workshop based group project in Sustainable Energy Group Design Project 3 it is not possible to re-sit any group or workshop based elements of the course during the summer resit period. In addition to this, it may not be possible to fit these elements into the 3rd year timetable. Therefore, the student may have to choose a different optional 3rd Year course to gain the required credits. |

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Analyse a real problem and identify the key difficulties, and appreciate the uncertainties and gaps in design data.
- Produce a range of possible solutions and select the best of these.
- Formulate key design equations, optimise design parameters, and produce viable assembly drawings and workshop drawings.
- Manufacture, assemble and test a viable prototype, and assess the strengths and weaknesses of there design
- Understand something of group dynamics and personal interactions, and the non-linear passage of time and its acceleration at the end of a project.
