SummaryThe aim of this course is to review development disorders of the teeth and advanced restorative dentistry for the child patient.
Course description This module aims to review the aetiology, presentation, diagnosis, management and sequellae of dental caries (tooth decay).

On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. To appraise the diagnostic techniques available for caries diagnosis
  2. To appraise the prevention of dental caries
  3. To describe and plan a preventive and operative regime for dental caries management
  4. To identify the sequellae of dental caries
  5. To describe and plan a regime for pulpal involvement of dental caries
