Learning Outcomes 
| On completion of this course, the student will be able to: 
        identify the key concepts that are essential in a concise presentation of a research project, taking into account the needs of different audiencesprepare and present an oral summary of the aims, methods and results of the research project at a level suitable for their peersdesign and produce a web-based summary of an aspect of the research project appropriate for a lay audience with an interest in sciencehandle technical and general questions about their research project in an authoritative and professional manner |

| Graduate Attributes and Skills | Students successfully completing this course will have experience of presenting and defending technical work, both orally and in written format, and at tailoring presentations for different audiences. |  
| Additional Class Delivery Information | A presentation workshop is held at the end of Semester 1. Students will give a formative practise oral presentation in January.
 Students will submit the public summary and deliver the oral presentation at the end of Semester 2.
