Course description |
Towards the end of Semester 2 you will sit a Synoptic Exam, lasting three hours, in which you will be required to write one essay from a choice of broadly defined subject areas. In writing this exam, you are expected to draw on knowledge and ideas from many sources (classes, field trips, background reading, seminars) from your whole four years at University to produce a coherent and well-argued responce. There will be 3 tutorials in Semester 2 to help you prepare, covering examples of synoptic questions and answers from previous years, strategies for writing this type of essay and a mock exam using the Exam Online software.
