Critically reflect upon day-to-day surgical practice in the context of recent advances/published findings; Review the general principles of clinical study design, statistics, and critically evaluate the scientific literature in surgical research; Lead online journal clubs and engage in critical dialogue with peers and experts in other subspecialties; Deal with complex ethical and professional issues; Make informed judgements on new and emerging issues in surgery.
