| Summary | This course will provide students with knowledge of how anaesthesia may be managed in small pet or laboratory mammals such as rabbits and rodents. Species specific situations will be discussed. |

Learning Outcomes 
| On completion of this course, the student will be able to: 
        Discuss the anatomical and physiological differences of the common small mammal veterinary species and their relevance for anaesthesia.Demonstrate knowledge of anaesthesia and analgesia in these species and make informed judgements in proposing appropriate management in commonly encountered situations.Critically review the published evidence concerning anaesthesia in these species. |
