The dissertation project maybe carried out within the University of Edinburgh or SRUC. However, students can also carry out their dissertation projects elsewhere in the UK or may go abroad. The project must be carried out within an active research group with appropriate resources available, and the supervisor must be approved by the University of Edinburgh, but the location can be outside of the University of Edinburgh.
MSc students must complete the taught element of the programme prior to commencement of the Dissertation element.
