Learning Outcomes 
| On completion of this course, the student will be able to: 
        Produce critical textual analysis that demonstrates an understanding of genre, varieties of form, and literary critical terms.Critically evaluate how writers use literary forms for different effects by paying attention to rhetorical detail and providing textual evidence.Identify and explicate some of the methods used by literary or cultural critics to examine formal issues and to link a work's form to its content.Demonstrate an understanding of how literary texts are shaped by historical developments, and how they in turn participate in and reflect on historical change.Make use of a range of university study skills, including essay writing skills and responding to feedback. |
