Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Express themselves confidently and effectively in both written and spoken Portuguese in a range of situations and registers.
  2. Become familiar with the principal grammatical and lexical distinctions between European and Brazilian Portuguese.
  3. Possess a broad vocabulary and develop reading and listening comprehension skills
  4. Acquire a solid knowledge of issues pertinent to Portuguese, Brazilian and Lusophone African current affairs, through texts or recordings.
  5. Work effectively both independently and/or as part of a group.
