SummaryThis course is a requirement for students of Russian on their Year Abroad. Course description The course is entirely taught and delivered online. It will take approximately between 40 and 80 hours to complete and will open at the start of Semester 1 and close at the end of Semester 2.

The course will be an interactive online course, marked mainly through autocorrection; the final language assignment will be marked by University of Edinburgh staff. Students will be expected to engage with their learning independently and organise their own study time.

Students on this course will be building on their knowledge of participles, gerunds and passive constructions which they started to study in Year 2 Grammar. They will carry out interactive online grammar exercises on LEARN. They will also aim to produce clear, well-structured, detailed writing assignments showing controlled use of specific grammar items, organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.
