Year 1 Academic year: 2022/23, Starting in: September

Notes:
Where students do not meet the progression requirements for continuation on an accredited pathway, they will transfer to an academic only exit pathway.

This programme has several progression and exit points throughout each academic year which are detailed below:

Year 1 - SEM 1

CLPS11086 Assessment & Formulation in Psychological Practice
CLPS11091 Ethics and Governance in Psychological Practice
CLPS11087 Common Mental Health Presentations
CLPS11090 Psychological Practice Placement : Preparation for Practice

Students must achieve 50% or more on the above courses to be able to progress to Semester 2, Year 1.

If students achieve less than 50% on any of the above courses but meet the University of Edinburgh's requirements for a PGCert award, students will exit with a PGCert Mental Health.

Exit Point

If Students achieve 50% or more on all the above courses they can choose to exit with an award of PGCert Foundation Psychological Practice.

Year 1 - SEM 2

CLPS11063 Fundamentals of CBT with Children and Young People
CLPS11082 CBT Placement 1
CLPS11081 CBT with Children and Young People in Practice

Students must achieve 50% or more on the above courses to be able to progress to Year 2.

If students achieve less than 50% on any of the above courses but meet the University of Edinburgh's requirements for a PGCert award, students will exit with a PGCert Mental Health.

Exit Point

If students achieve 50% or more on all the above courses they can choose to exit with an award of PGCert Psychological Therapies (CBT).

Year 2 (CBT Pathway)

CLPS11066 Research Methods in Applied Psychology
CLPS11088 CBT with Complex Presentations
CLPS11089 CBT Placement 2

If students do not meet programme requirements of 50% or more on all the above courses, but do meet the University of Edinburgh's requirements for a PGDip, exit with a PGDip Mental Health.

If students achieve 50% or more on all courses, exit with Exit Award of PGDip Psychological Therapies (CBT) OR progression to Dissertation.

Notes:
Please note that CBT with Complex Presentations is a co-requisite for CBT Placement 2.
To specialise into a CBT pathway students must take CBT with Complex Presentations and CBT Placement 2. Students who complete the CBT pathway will graduate with MSc Psychological Therapies (CBT).
