Year 1 Academic year: 2022/23, Starting in: September

Notes:
To continue without the need for an extension to the total period of study, a full-time student must attain a minimum of 80 credit points by the end of Year 1. Total credits per year must equal 120.

Students failing History of Art 1A: Art and Belief in Europe, 500 to 1700 and History of Art 1B: Art at the Crossroads of World Cultures 600 to 1700 will not be allowed to progress to Year 2 unless recommended as a Special Circumstances concession from the Exam Board. Students transferring into History of Art from another programme with no prior study in History of Art may, with the permission of the History of Art UG Director, be allowed to take History of Art 1A, 1B and History of Art 2A and 2B, concurrently in Year 2.

You must pass Architectural History 1A and 1B by the end of Year 2 to progress to Honours.

Before selecting your outside courses, please ensure you have met your Personal Tutor.

Notes:
To continue without the need for an extension to the total period of study, a full-time student must attain a minimum of 200 credit points by the end of Year 2. Total credits per year must equal 120.

You must pass Architectural History 1A and 1B and Urbanism and the City by the end of Year 2 to progress to Honours.

Students transferring into History of Art from another programme with no prior study in History of Art may, with the permission of the History of Art UG Director, be allowed to take History of Art 1A, 1B, 2A and 2B concurrently in Year 2.

Notes:
To continue without the need for an extension to the total period of study, a full-time student must attain a minimum of 360 credit points by the end of Year 3.

After successful completion of 360 credits as outlined above, students may be eligible to exit with an Ordinary degree. See general DRPS regulation 53 for further details.

If students go abroad for the whole year, then they do not need to take the compulsory courses listed below, but have the option of taking HIAR10162 Analysing Art History (Non-Compulsory Year Abroad)

Notes:
To continue without the need for an extension to the total period of study, a full-time student must attain a minimum of 480 credit points by the end of Year 4.

There are no compulsory courses in this year of this programme.
