Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Have had the opportunity to develop and demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the economic and/or econometric analysis of the topic addressed in the dissertation, including recent research at, or close to, the frontiers of knowledge.
- Have had the opportunity to develop and demonstrate research and investigative skills such as: identifying, framing and solving/devising approaches to investigate a research question and the ability to assemble and evaluate complex evidence and arguments.
- Have had the opportunity to develop and demonstrate communication skills in order to critique, create and communicate understanding and further their own learning through the effective use of feedback from their supervisor.
- Have had the opportunity to develop and demonstrate personal effectiveness and intellectual autonomy through, inter alia, task-management, time-management, dealing with uncertainty, adapting to new situations and making decisions based on their understanding and working independently.
- Have had the opportunity to develop and demonstrate practical/technical skills such as, modelling skills (abstraction, logic, succinctness), qualitative and quantitative analysis and general IT literacy and high-level IT literacy including programming.
