Notes:
Courses will run in either Semester 1 OR Semester 2, subject to staffing availability. The range of option courses available may vary. Students complete six courses (2 compulsory courses, 1 skills option course, 1 specialist option course and 2 further optional course) and the MSc Dissertation over the duration of the degree

Students on the MSc in Medieval History MUST take the medieval pathways on Historical Research: Skills and Sources.

Students are strongly advised to take a medieval pathway on Historical Methodology.

There are no compulsory courses in this year of this programme.

Historical Research: Skills and Sources

Select exactly 20 credits of the following courses
Notes:
This compulsory course MUST be taken in either Year 1 or Year 2.

Historical Methodology

Select exactly 20 credits of the following courses
Notes:
This compulsory course MUST be taken in either Year 1 or Year 2.
AND

Medieval History MSc Courses

Select between 0 and 60 credits of the following courses
Notes:
Please note that places on the courses are subject to availability. Popular courses may fill up quickly.

Students MUST take in total a minimum of 20 credits and maximum of 60 credits from these Medieval History options over the duration of their degree.

Further to discussion with the Programme Director a student may also choose an option from the suite of courses offered by the School of History, Classics and Archaeology or from other Schools.
AND

Medieval History MSc - Skills courses

Select between 0 and 60 credits of the following courses
Notes:
Students may take other appropriate medieval courses offered in the College and approved by the Programme Director.

Students MUST take in total a minimum of 20 credits and maximum of 60 credits from these skills options over the duration of their degree.

History MSc Courses

Select between 0 and 40 credits of the following courses

Please note that places on the courses are subject to availability and timetabling. Popular courses may fill up quickly.
