In Year 1, students must study 80 credits.
In Year 2, students must study 100 credits.
Across the 2 years of study, students must take the following courses:
a) The 2 programme compulsory core courses (20 credits):
- Evaluating Sustainable Lands and Cities
- Envisioning Sustainable Lands and Cities
b) 40 credits worth of EFI Shared Core courses:
- Interdisciplinary Futures
- Insights Through Data [OR[ Text Remix [OR] Understanding the Climate Crisis
- Ethical Data Futures
- Representing Data [OR] Building Near Futures
c) A total of 60 credits of optional courses, which must include a minimum of 20 credits selected from the 'Sustainable Lands and Cities (fusion online) - Programme Optional Course Collection'.
The programme core courses and the shared core courses introduce students to skills and concepts that will assist them when studying elective courses and the project. Therefore, we encourage students to take the two programme core courses, along with as many of the EFI shared core courses as possible, during year one.
Please aim to ensure that your credits are equally balanced across both semesters in a year. This is to ensure student workload is balanced.
