Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- translate advanced texts on a wide range of topics from English into Scottish Gaelic
- write in the upper registers of Scottish Gaelic associated with formal aspects of public life such as broadcasting, administration and government
- identify and produce different registers of Scottish Gaelic and use the idiom and vocabulary appropriate to each
- demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of Scottish Gaelic grammar and idiom at an advanced level
