Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Understand key components of an RF system and how they work;
- Describe the nature of the electro-magnetic field around various antenna types;
- Explain what is meant by "near" and "far" electro-magnetic fields;
- Use S-parameters to analyse multi-port networks at RF and microwave frequencies;
- Design basic RF systems; including antennas, matching circuits and RF amplifiers.
