Course description |
This course explores the foundations and evolution of the EU¿s changing constitution. It considers, first, the construction of the EU¿s constitution, reflecting on how ¿ and why ¿ its core principles emerged and how they have changed over time. Looking to recent developments, challenges that have the potential to destabilise the EU¿s constitution are then analysed, focusing on the EU in ¿crisis mode¿ in, for example, the Eurozone or rule of law context. Whether Brexit has further destabilised ¿ or strengthened ¿ the EU¿s constitution is also assessed in that light.
