DEGREE REGULATIONS & PROGRAMMES OF STUDY 2024/2025

Students must pass all 80 credits of compulsory courses with a grade of 50% or above to progress to the dissertation stage in Year 2.

Students who do not meet the progression criteria for the dissertation at the end of Year 1 have the following options;

1) Exit after Year 1 and qualify for a Postgraduate Certificate which requires a pass in a minimum of 40 credits and an overall average of 40% or above.

2) Continue to the taught element in Year 2 (Block 3) only, to qualify for a Postgraduate Diploma which requires a pass in a minimum of 80 credits and an overall average of 40% or above.

Students having met the progression criteria in Year 1 must pass the 60-credit dissertation to be awarded the MSc degree.

Students who do not meet the criteria for the MSc degree at the end of Year 2 can be awarded Postgraduate Diploma, which requires a pass in a minimum of 80 credits and an overall average of 40% or above.
