Students are not allowed to take more than a total of 30 credits below level 11.
An alternative appropriate course may be substituted with the permission of the Programme Director.
There are six compulsory courses for this programme:
Semester 1 [all courses in Semester 1 are compulsory]
Biodiversity Under Pressure - 20 credits
Professional Skills for Ecology and Evolution - 20 credits
Statistics and Data Analysis - 20 credits
Semester 2 [30 credits of courses in Semester 2 are compulsory, with the remaining 30 credits being chosen from optional courses]
Eco-evolutionary Responses to Anthropogenic Change - 20 credits
Research Project Proposal (Ecology, Evolution and Biodiversity) - 10 credits [must be taken in Year 2]
Block 5 (Semester 2) and beyond [the dissertation course must be taken in Year 2]
Dissertation (Ecology, Evolution and Biodiversity) - 60 credits
It is recommended that the following courses are taken during Year 1: Professional Skills for Ecology and Evolution, Statistics and Data Analysis.
