EFI Shared Core Course Selection Guidance:

- For students with no background in climate change/environmental studies, you MUST select the Semester 1 Shared Core course 'Understanding the Climate Crisis' in order to gain critical knowledge underpinning their degree.

Programme Optional Course Collection Selection Guidance:

- Please note that if you choose to study 2 'Shared Core' courses in Semester 1 (Understanding the Climate Crisis AND Insights Through Data), then you must select 50 credits across the 'Programme Optional Course Collection' and 'Edinburgh Futures Institute Level 11 Courses Collection'.

- If you choose to study 1 'Shared Core' course in Semester 1 (Understanding the Climate Crisis OR Insights Through Data), then you must select 60 credits across the 'Programme Optional Course Collection' and 'Edinburgh Futures Institute Level 11 Courses Collection'.

Select exactly 10 credits of the following courses

Group B

Select between 50 and 60 credits in this group.

Sustainable Lands and Cities (fusion on-site) - Programme Optional Course Collection

Select between 20 and 60 credits of the following courses
Notes:
EFI Postgraduate Taught students must take a minimum of 20 credits (2 courses) from this collection.

Any course may only be taken once.

We would recommend that course credits should be equally split across semesters 1 and 2. This is to support students in managing an equal workload balance during their studies.

Select between 0 and 40 credits from Edinburgh Futures Institute Level 11 courses

Please note that EFI Postgraduate Taught students may only select from courses worth 10-credits within this collection.

Students enrolled on the owning programme of any course will be given priority. Therefore, we cannot always guarantee that you will be successful in gaining a space if student demand is high.

Students who are studying in the UK by means of a Student Visa must study all courses in-person and on-site.
