Students must take a total of 120 credits by the end of Year 2, Semester 2. We recommend taking the compulsory course Perspectives in Musicology in Year 1, but students may take this in Year 2 instead.
Students should normally take a minimum of 60 credits in Year 1. We recommend that students do not take more than 40 credits in any one semester.
Please note that while there are some preliminary class meetings for MUSI11015 MMus Individual Research Project in Year 1, Semesters 1 and 2, the majority of the work for this course is individual research with one-to-one supervision conducted over the period April-July.
Alternative relevant option courses to those listed below may be substituted with the written permission of the Programme Director.
