Year 1 Academic year: 2024/25, Starting in: September

Notes:
Students on the 20-month route of the PG Certificate programme take 20 credits (one course) in each of their three semesters of study. In the first year of the Certificate programme (two semesters), you will take 40 credits, and in your second year (one semester), 20 credits.

To be awarded the Postgraduate Certificate, you must complete a total of 60 credits of study.

On successful completion of the programme, you have the option of either graduating with the PG Certificate or, subject to obtaining an average of at least 50% across your courses (i.e. having demonstrated a Masters-level performance), you may request a transfer onto one of the LLM programmes.

Please note that a maximum of 40 credits (two courses) may be selected from any one of Groups A, B and C.

Group A includes Commercial Law courses
Group B includes Medical Law courses
Group C includes IP, Media & Technology Law courses

Groups B and C also include sub-groups. A maximum of 40 credits can be selected from Groups B and C:

EITHER: 20 credits from Sub-group 1, and 20 credits from Sub-group 2
OR: 40 credits from Sub-group 1

There are no compulsory courses in this year of this programme.
