To progress into year 4 students must pass all courses (360 credits) of which 80 credits must include ARCH10051 Interior Design 3A, ARCH10054 Interior Design 3B and ARCH10052 Interior Design 3C.
Courses ARCH10052 Interior Design 3C: Externality and ARCH10053 Lighting Design for Spaces will be delivered each year in semester 1 or 2.
In 24/25 academic year ARCH10053 Lighting Design for Spaces will run in semester 2 and ARCH10052 Interior Design 3C: Externality will run in semester 1.
In Semester 2, students may opt to take a semester with UoE Study Abroad or DESI10132 Work-Based Placement: Reflecting on Design Professions (40 credits) in place of ARCH10054 and DESI10147 Design Identities: Roles and Ecologies in place of ARCH10052/ARCH10053. These courses can only be taken when a placement has been approved with your Programme Director and the Course Organisers prior to week 5 of semester 1 in year 3.
In exceptional circumstances, with the permission of the Board and CAHSS concession, students may be permitted to carry up to 40 credits into final honours year.
After successful completion of 360 credits as outlined above, students may be eligible to exit with an Ordinary degree. See general DRPS regulation 53 for further details.
