For entry to honours, students much achieve (1) an *average* of 50% at the first sitting across the mandatory Philosophy courses taken in the second year, ie Mind, Matter and Language (MML) and Knowledge and Reality (K&R); and (2) a minimum of 40% in each of these courses (MML and K&R) achieved at the first sitting.
An overall maximum of 40 credits at level 7 is permitted across years one and two.
Students CANNOT take Introduction to the History of Philosophy A (PHIL08019) if they have already taken Introduction to the History of Philosophy (PHIL08018).

All students choosing the Dissertation in Philosophy must have completed the Year 3 Philosophy Dissertation Information Course.
Students MUST pass DIVI10001 Theology & Religious Studies: Final Dissertation or PHIL10026 Dissertation in Philosophy in order to be awarded an honours degree.
Please be aware that, unlike single honours Philosophy students, all joint honours Philosophy and Theology student must take the full-length Dissertation in either Philosophy or Theology and Religious Studies.
