| Summary | OWNED AND DELIVERED BY PARIS COLLEGE OF ART.
This course revolves around the creation of a student's significant research-informed film art project as well as the documentation of their practical processes. Putting previous preparation into action, students will complete the initial exploration phases of their creative work through practical engagement in narrative, experimental, installation, interactive or other artistic forms of filmmaking. |
| Course description |
The course is owned and delivered by Paris College of Art following their 15-week semester and is primarily taught through small group tutorials and seminars.
This Thesis Project Exploration course supports students as they expand an initial project proposal outlined in their previous course, secure the resources required to carry out their intended work and engage in significant practical exploration of film art. Students will follow key milestones set in their initial project proposal which were developed through discussion with tutors to provide a structure and formative deadlines that scaffold the creation of their work. Typically, these milestones might reflect film industry processes of pre-production and production as students refine ideas and organise logistical considerations before undertaking their practice and creating material. During this course, students will continue to apply the artistic-research methods previously identified to determine suitable approaches for the creation and presentation of their work. They will also collect documentation of practical processes which will later form the basis for their evaluation and reflection toward the project.
