Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of concepts of sex/gender and sexuality in modern and contemporary criticism relevant to the study of Shakespeare.
- Show a knowledge of early modern ideas and practices of sex/gender and sexuality, and of their historiography.
- Apply an understanding of these ideas, practices and histories to the writing, reception and performance of Shakespearean drama.
