Pre-requisites | Visiting students should have at least 3 courses in a suitable subject area at grade B or above (or be predicted to obtain this). We will only consider University/College level courses.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- explain key concepts and terms in various fields of Islamic learning (e.g. hadith, Qur'anic exegesis, Islamic law, theology, Sufism);
- read and understand central texts in different fields of Islamic learning in their original language and translate them into English;
- explain the significance of selected texts for the development of the respective fields of Islamic thought and place them in their historical context;
- evaluate and critically assess secondary literature on the above topics.
