Summary | This course is designed for experienced healthcare professionals who have an educational role. It aims to support clinicians in exploring interprofessional education (IPE) and understanding its contribution to a sustainable workforce, effective team collaboration, communication, and patient safety. Participants will consider the rationale and evidence behind IPE strategies and reflect on how IPE influences practice both in their own context and beyond. The course also encourages participants to identify opportunities for enhancing patient care through improved teamwork and communication. |
Course description |
There will be a strong focus on student-led discussions and sharing resources for peer review and critical analysis.
Online environments are integral to the teaching, learning, and assessment of all programme courses. This includes the use of Learn Ultra, which supports synchronous and asynchronous interactive communication through visual, audio, text-based, and graphical methods.

Coursework will form 100 % of the final mark. Participants are expected to submit a short formative assignment for feedback only (no marks), mid-course. The summative assignment will involve a presentation and written component (approximately 2,000 -3,000 words). |

Tutors will also provide individual, detailed comments on the summative end-of-course assignment.

- Evaluate the processes and tools that support interprofessional education.

- Demonstrate skills in critical appraisal of the literature on a topical area in interprofessional education.
- Discuss and evaluate the relationship between interprofessional education and organisational systems and values.
