It is recommended that all Certificate courses are taken before Diploma courses. Students wishing to take courses in a different order must first obtain approval from the Programme Director.
Elective course availability will be subject to student demand and low demand may mean a course will not run. Course availability and allocations for Year 2 will be finalised in consultation with students during the Certificate phase of the programme, and for Alternative Year 3 during the Diploma phase. Note that additional timetabling restrictions mean not all elective courses will be available as part of the Alternative Year 3 and iterations of the Planning Applied Interdisciplinary Research in Biodiversity, Wildlife and Ecosystem Health course may not run with low numbers of students; a finalised list of electives will be made available during the Diploma phase.
The MSc must be completed within 6 years. Students wishing to exit with a Postgraduate Certificate must complete all Certificate courses within 2 years, and students wishing to exit with a Postgraduate Diploma must complete all Diploma courses within 4 years.
All 120 credits of Certificate and Diploma courses must be taken before the Masters year. Please refer to the programme handbook for more specific progression criteria.
