It is recommended that any student referring to the Degree Regulations and Programmes of Study in the context of decisions about their programme of study do so in consultation with their Personal Tutor or Student Adviser (for undergraduate and taught postgraduate students) or Supervisor/Programme Director (for postgraduate students).

Your Personal Tutor or Student Adviser is an academic member of staff, normally based in the School or subject area in which you will be studying. Your Personal Tutor or Student Adviser is your first point of contact if you have questions regarding your programme of study and also if you encounter any personal difficulties.

You can find your Personal Tutor or Student Adviser via MyEd.

All taught postgraduate students (including those students on named Masters by Research programmes which involve taught courses) will have an appointed Supervisor. Your Supervisor will discuss your programme of study and enrol you on the agreed courses selected.

The DRPS is published by Student Systems (StudentSystems@ed.ac.uk).
