Students have already completed at least two years of the BVM&S programme and the Infectious Disease programme builds on knowledge and skills inherent in that programme.

The programme fits within the general structure of the University’s Curriculum Framework. Entry Requirements To be admitted to the programme, students must meet the criteria set out for Intercalated BSC Veterinary Sciences degree programmes by the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. External students are considered if the Honours programme they are applying for is not available at their own University and they have the permission of their own University to undertake the programme. The number of places available is limited and preference is given to students from the University of Edinburgh. Courses and Progression Students take courses totalling 120 credit points. The classification of the degree is based on the Honours year performance. Undergraduate Diploma of Higher Education: students who obtain a minimum of 240 credit points, where at least 120 credit points are from passes in courses at the University of Edinburgh, and at least 80 credit points are from courses at level 8 or above. |
