Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Learn an introduction to mathematical modelling of a given observed phenomena.
  2. Thoroughly understand the applications of tensor calculus in mechanics, with applications to fluid mechanics, geophysics and magnetohydrodynamics.
  3. Understand the relation between local conservation laws and global balance equations in continuum models.
