| Summary | The course introduces students to the nature and process of academic research in Archaeology, from the conception of research projects to the collection and analysis of archaeological data. The aim of the course is to provide students with general research and data processing skills, and to prepare them for the dissertation in year 4. |
| Course description |
Through a series of seminars and practical workshops, students will develop the following skills: identifying academic issues and developing appropriate research questions; searching and reviewing relevant literature; choosing appropriate research materials and methods; identifying data types and sources; analysing quantitative and qualitative data; presenting information textually and visually.
