| Course description |
As a continuation of Chinese language learning after year abroad in China, the key aim of this course is:
To develop an advanced and well-balanced oral competence in Chinese.
To develop and apply communicative Chinese skills in speaking and listening related to a specific professional or cultural context.
The course consists of 2 components:
1) language compression
2) presentation and discussion

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Confidently use a good range of idioms and colloquial expressions.
- Apply pragmatic knowledge of language, communicative skills and intercultural understanding to express complex topics fluently and spontaneously.
- Recognise the difference between formal and informal language, and confidently use in different settings and for different purposes.
- Present and discuss complex and abstract information related to professional/personal insights, future employment and a specialist nature beyond his/her own field.
