From 2026/27, EFI courses are delivered as 20-credit courses rather than 10-credit courses. Continuing students may therefore see some courses listed at 20 credits that were previously offered at 10 credits. The overall requirements of the programme remain unchanged.
In order to be eligible for the generic Award of Interdisciplinary Futures (PG Diploma) students need to obtain 120 SCQF level 11 credits.
In order to be eligible for the Cultural Heritage Futures (PG Diploma) (fusion online), students need to obtain 120 SCQF level 11 credits AND must take the following courses:
a) 20 credits of programme compulsory courses.
b) 40 credits of EFI Skills and Methods Suite courses.
c) 60 credits of optional courses.*
*A minimum of 20 credits must be selected from the programme optional course collection. The remaining 40 credits may be selected from the EFI Postgraduate Taught Optional Course Portfolio.
The PG Diploma must be completed within 2 years.
