English grammar: a cognitive account (U02499)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 10 ? Acronym : PPL-3-U02499 Two of the three lectures each week will provide a theory-neutral account, based mainly on the "Cambridge Grammar of the English Language", of nine major topics in the grammar of English. The third lecture will explain how Cognitive Grammar would account for the patterns observed.
