How accountability and control are achieved in organisations. The structures and processes that comprise organisational governance. The course covers the accountability and control implications of planning, budgeting, reporting, performance appraisal and organisational incentive structures. The accountability of business to the community, individual and collective accountabilities within firms, and professional ethics are studied. The overall context of the course is the information economy and post-industrial society.
