Decision Support Models and Systems (BS0068)? Credit Points : 10 ? SCQF Level : 11 ? Acronym : MSE-P-BS0068 A number of model building techniques, and their associated solution methods, will be considered in this course. The model building process and the use of personal computer based software for model solution will be demonstrated, using the computer laboratory where appropriate. The potential for using these techniques in the development of computer based decision support systems will also be explored. Model building techniques are widely used as an aid to management decision-making. The objective of this course is to develop model building skills and to provide experience in applying these skills using personal computer based software for model solution.
Assessment Information
The overall mark for this course will be based on one assignment (25% of overall mark) and a final examination (75% of overall mark).
