After successful completion of the dissertation the student will have knowledge and understanding relating to the topic covered and will have developed and demonstrated a wide range of key skills including: managing tasks and time; independent action and initiative; obtaining and processing information from a variety of sources; presentation and communications skills; critical analysis and assessment. Where the dissertation satisfies the requirements of Economics (rather that those of another joint degree discpline) the student will normally have demonstrated the ability to apply core economic principles and techniques to a particular topic.
Assessment Information
A dissertation (a maximum length of 35 A4 pages in space and a half, including the title page, abstract and bibliography. In addition you may have up to 5 pages of appendices on data sources.)
