Audiology and Audiometry: Deaf Education (ED0414)

The purpose of this module is to help course members, within a scientific, medical model of deafness, to understand the process of hearing and listening, to interpret audiological data and to be actively involved in the provision of appropriate audiometric and audiological support for deaf learners. When undertaken as part of the PG Diploma in Deaf Education, entry requirements include either BSL Skills Stage 1 or a commitment to undertake this as an additional study concurrent with the PG Diploma.
