Also, opportunity should be given to become familiar with current initiatives, which involve the PE dept.

ii continued development of the planning, implementation and evaluation of lessons in Physical Education in core PE in S1 S6 and specific certificated programmes.

iii consideration of current curricular development in core, Standard Grade and Higher Still Physical Education

iv consideration of whole school policies

vi describing and analysing the organisation and functioning of the school as part of the learning community

*Possibility that some students may be required or may elect to remain in the Secondary School for extended period (4 weeks).

Assessment Information

The grades for both third year and fourth year Placement will contribute to the determination of the Honours degree classification. The third and fourth year Placement will each have two grades: one generated by the school and one generated by the Faculty. Therefore, four Placement grades will contribute to the classification of Honours.

Each of these four Placement grades will be an aggregation of the six competency areas and the overall grade for Placement will be derived from the aggregation of separate grades for these as follows:

Overall Grade of A: at least 4 As and no more than 2 Bs (ie no Cs, Ds and Es)

Overall Grade of B: at least 4 Bs and no more than 2 Cs (ie no Ds and Es)

Overall Grade of C: at least 4 Cs and no more than 2 Ds (ie no Es)

Overall Grade of D: at least 6 Ds

Overall Grade of E: a failure would arise if 1 or more Es is recorded.
