Motor Control 4 (ED1027)

This half-course is designed to provide students with a theoretical and practical understanding of motor control issues. Experience of laboratory techniques currently employed in motor control assessment will also be provided.

Entry Requirements

? Pre-requisites : Progression to Year 4 and successful completion of Skill Acquisition element of Sport Science 3B.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Understand present motor control theory;
Recognise problems in motor control;
Differentiate between skilled and less skilled performers;
Apply motor control observations tot he applied sports environment;
Understand the need for the multidisciplinary study of motor control.

1 x 2 hour exam (60%)
1 x 2500 in-course assessment task (or equivalent) (40%)
