Developmental Perspectives in Physical Education & Youth Sport (ED1094)

In order to put the young person at the centre of the Physical Education & Youth Sport experience, it is essential that practitioners and researchers have a detailed knowledge and understanding of young people and the factors that influence their movement development. This module will explore young people's development from an interrelated perspective, focussing on those individual and environmental factors that influence their movement development and their involvement in Physical Education & Sport. There are no preconditions for entry to this module. Students would normally undertake the module at the beginning of the Physical Education & Youth Sport pathway.
