Early Intervention for Children with Visual Impairment (ED1148)

Teachers who work with infants and young visually impaired children with or without additional disabilities, must learn about the factors affecting their early development and learning. They will be working with colleagues from other professional backgrounds and with parents and families in the child's home. Supporting parents in the emotional period following diagnosis and helping them to understand and meet the needs of their developing child is a great responsibility and demands the highest level of knowledge and professionalism. This module offers the opportunity to study current knowledge and research in this special field. There is an additional module fee of 225 pounds for teaching & resources provided at the Royal Blind School.
